Henry P. Scannell
Henry P. 'Pat' Scannell, Secretary of the Kellogg Seed Company, and a Director of the National Cage Bird Show, died of a heart attack July 30. His home was in Thiensville, Wisconsin, near Milwaukee.

Mr. Scannell has been active in the National shows since 1950. When the National Cage Bird Show was reorganized in 1951, Mr. Scannell became a charter member of the Board of Directors.
​
For the past several years as representative of the Kellogg Seed Company he has presented the large Kellogg trophies to the Division winners at the National Show banquets.
​
No matter how pressing his other duties were, Mr. Scannell always found time to attend the National shows. His advice and counsel at board meetings was highly valued by all the members of the board.
​
His warm-hearted, amiable personality will be missed by his many friends in the bird fancy. We, of the Naitonal Cage Bird Show feel the deep personal loss of a highly esteemed friend and sincere sympathy is extended to Mr. Scannell's wife and family.
